Pegasus

Post by RivalGuy »

Yesterday one of my Polish coworkers told me about the Pegasus, a knock of NES they had back in the Soviet days. There was no official way to get Nintendo hardware in the Soviet Union, and limited smuggling, so it apparently fell to this knockoff (and the bootleg games for it) to fill in the gap. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_(console)

I love these things. It's also common that the duty cycles for the audio processor (specifically the square wave) were inverted on the clone chips, so the sounds tend to have a 'brighter' feel because one of the channels is basically Full Duty Cycle = .25 Duty Cycle and vice versa. Actually, I'mma go find the video I watched on it and link it.

OK, back - I mean, to you I never left.
